2. The Mountain Kings of Africa A newly extended story.
This is a story of senior adventure travel, set in Rwanda, "the heart of Africa". My first visit to East Africa was in 1968, and first time in Rwanda was 1989. Returning there in 2007, the first year of my retirement, and with the benefit of maturity, I was moved by the challenging social and geopolitical issues of the region. And I was awestruck by my encounter with the Mountain Kings.

It was 6am when myself and my two companions, plus Joseph our driver, left the five star comforts of the Hotel Mille Collines, in search of some of the rarest and most intriguing animals on earth.
